Martha Jane Anderson: April 26, 2012
 What a glorious spring weekend we enjoyed in our north Louisiana communities! Our mornings beginning in the 40s and just makes it fun feeding the birds, watering the ferns and starting the day with the Lord, Community Coffee and The Ouachita Citizen.
One of the highlights last weekend was the fabulous art presented by native Monroyan, Amy Jackson Dixon, of Denver, who was the special guest of the Board of the Children's Museum. Leigh Ann and Stacey Goff hosted a Friday evening patron party honoring Amy and her sister, Jenny Jackson Moss, who co-authored one of Amy's books.
The group was serenaded by none other than Woody Ledbetter and Dr. Walter Sartor. Jenny Jackson Moss and Dr. Charley Moss live in North Carolina. Jenny gave a moving introduction of her talented sister at the museum luncheon. Amy had a special gift for the friends in attendance at the museum, a CD of her favorite music while growing up in Monroe. Jenny's son, Miller Moss, is training for the Olympics in Austin under the renown Trey Hardy and will have a good shot at going as a full Olympian to London.

Martha Jane Anderson retired from University of Louisiana-Monroe after 35 years of service as Assistant Dean of Students and SGA Advisor. She is married to Patrick H. Anderson Sr., has two children, and four grandchildren. |
