OPSB moves to new calendar

Students in Ouachita Parish Schools will get out for the summer
two days earlier than planned.

Members of the Ouachita Parish School Board agreed to a request from Superintendent Bob Webber to end classes sooner to add more teacher in-service days to this year's calendar.

Webber says one major reason for the change is that teachers will face the new COMPASS, value-added evaluations next year.
