On Saturday at West Ouachita, the Ouachita Christian Eagles baseball team proved that it can compete win anyone on the baseball diamond regardless of enrollment with their 10-0 shutout victory over the District 2-4A champion West Ouachita Chiefs.

Senior Mark Laird (6-0) picked up the win for OCS (21-3) by striking out in five innings of work. Ben Calhoun (5-3) took the loss for the Chiefs (17-11).

Leading hitters for the Eagles were Brice Gillikin (2-3, 2 RBIs), Colby Webb (2-3, 1 RBI), Laird (2-3, 1 RBI), Braden Bristo (1-3, 1 RBI), Josh Wilkes (1-3, 1 RBI), and Jonathan Washam (1-3, 2 RBIs).

Kodie Tidwell, Joseph Tassin, Dylan Edmiston and Logan Reed each collected hits for the Chiefs in their loss.
