River Oaks wins district

The River Oaks Mustangs split a two game series with the Prairie View Spartans, but were still able to clinch the MAIS District 3-2A championship last week.

In game one, River Oaks scored four runs in the fifth inning in route to a 7-0 win over the Prairie View Spartans at River Oaks.

The game was picked up in the bottom of the second inning after inclement weather caused a delay in action on March 30th.

Mustang pitcher Ryan MacGregor struck out fifteen batters on his way to a two-hit shutout against the Spartans.
