Cleanup planned at Boys & Girls Club

A spring cleanup and fixin' up day has been set for Saturday at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Louisiana in West Monroe.

Tom Morris, executive director, said from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, volunteers will be painting, landscaping, doing general grounds cleaning and minor building repairs at the 500 Evergreen St. building site.

"It's our 50th anniversary as a Boys & Girls Club and we want the building and grounds to look the way the kids can be proud," Morris said. "Our friends at Comcast have adopted us for their annual volunteer project and by inviting other volunteers in the community it can help the Club financially in a donation from Comcast."

"We're looking forward to all our friends and supporters taking part in this great event," Morris said.

You can sign up by emailing Morris at tmorris@bgcwestmonroe.org.
