Chiefs sweep Tigers - West Ouachita wins all three games in district series
The West Ouachita Chiefs (14-8, 6-0) took a giant step to claiming the District 2-4A championship by sweeping all three games against the Neville Tigers (8-13, 3-3).
Last Thursday, the Chiefs escaped for a 7-5 game one victory in front of a large crowd at West Ouachita.
The Tigers did not go away without a fight. Neville scored two runs in the top of the nineth inning and had based loaded when the Chiefs finally caught the third out.
On Saturday, Neville's Embanato Field was the sight of Game 2 and 3. West Ouachita was able to hold the Neville bats in check winning 10-5.
Being a double header, Game 3 became an offensive explosion for both ball clubs with the Chiefs taking a 16-15 victory over the Tigers.
