Museum to honor Vietnam vets
A celebration in honor of Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day will be held at the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum on Friday, March 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
for Vietnam veterans and their families. Refreshments will be served, and veterans who attend will be given a memento to honor the occasion.
The holiday is meant to honor those who served in the Vietnam War and came back to criticism and hostility instead of a friendly welcome. It is a day of commemoration in order to pay the proper respect to the veterans who sacrificed so much during the war.
