Winter evolves into spring at Kiroli Park By Sunny Meriwether The Citizen
Spring is in the air at West Monroe's Kiroli Park.
Known as the vernal equinox, the first official day of Spring was March 20, and Kiroli is flaunting its colors.
Kristy Francis is the educational and environmental coordinator for the citys Parks and Recreation Department, and Assistant Manager at Kiroli.
While winter flowers are almost finished, Francis said the camellia grove just beyond the gatehouse still boasts some blooms from its decades-old bushes. And spring flowers have come into their own.
