A narrow, winding road in southwestern Ouachita Parish could receive a makeover to improve safety.

Caples Road runs from West Ouachita High School to Highway 3033, and according to District B Police Juror Mack Calhoun, the busy road is too narrow and too dangerous.

"Many people have been killed on this little, narrow road," Calhoun said.

At a regular meeting of the Ouachita Parish Police Jury held Monday night, Calhoun proposed a solution: pursue grant funding to make the necessary improvements to Caples Road.
