Development continues The exciting news this week is the announcement by the city of West Monroe that they have entered into an agreement with the developer of the Pecanland Mall to develop the city property in front of the Ike and the Hilton Garden Inn and fronting on the I-20 service road into a major retail center.
The development is to include one or more big box retailers to anchor the center, around which smaller retailers will locate. The Dallas based MGHerring Group has signed a development agreement with the city to pursue retailers for the development. While there is no guarantee of such a development with the West Monroe area under-developed for retail space, the improving economy and the past success of this group, I would place my bet on their success. .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition!
