Big plans in place for Twin Cities

The Twin Cities' downtown areas will be decked out for the holidays as businesses gear up for the region's second annual Christmas festival.

Christmas on the River will begin Saturday, Nov. 28, and run through Saturday, Dec. 26.
Last year, West Monroe's Antique Alley became a Christmas wonderland as Santa Claus set up shop amid an array of multi-colored lights, carolers and carriage rides. The month-long event was the first ever Christmas on the Alley festival.

This holiday season, the festival has been expanded to include Monroe's downtown area to turn it into a larger festival.
